LYON II, ON STRIKE...!
It has been nearly 3 months now that University Lyon II is on strike. The situation has never been any better as there are no solutions to the protests. Not only students but also lecturers and university stuffs are involved. It is claimed that the purpose of the strike is to put pressure on the government proposing a series of laws which will affect the french education system, to name an example, a decree law related to the status of university "researcher" lecturers. Moreover, this strike is also to against the privatisation of the public university. However, the real purposes of this manifestation are quite unclear as they are mainly related to different political opinions and some political interests.
This strike, on the other hand, has strongly paralyse the second semester program. Evidently, most of the classes are postponed due to the blocking. For students who do not participate in the manifestation, they can't even have class properly because of this perturbation. What is worse is that they are having their final exams in two weeks time despite the ongoing strike.
The strikers have occupied the university campus and vandalized university property. They have taken too far which result in degradations, violences, and accidents.
Some courses have to be taken outside of university campus
